I just bought the game off Desura and I LOVE it! It reminds me of the old Master Blaster NES game. Well done! :)
However, 45 mins into the game, I decided to save the game and take a bit of a break. When I came back, I somehow corrupted the save file either through my own stupidity or some other natural force. I want to finish the game but I really don't feel like playing through the first levels again.
I've found the save file and correctly edited it to start on Level 2-0 but I'm not sure how to modify the other settings (which 0's should be changed to 1's) to restore hover, high jump, and the first weapon upgrade (machine gun spreader thing). Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you.

I suppose... I could give you that information I guess it wouldn't hurt. I'd have to look it up though.
Saves will take you to the start of the area though.

That would be fine. I'm just a terrible platformer game player and I don't have an extra 1.5 hours to replay it (yes, it took me that long to play to 2_0 (the ice area). . Thanks! . P.S. I've already figured out the level selection of the save file, as it was fairly self-explanatory. It's just the multitude of 0's I'm not sure how to adjust. I changed them to 1's at random but couldn't get the combination of high jump + hover + 3 shot spreader gun to work. I don't want to "cheat" I just want to get my original save back!

Just a stab, but I think there are two possibilities. 1. Assuming there is a reference "undisturbed" game world, one method would only store data about objects (in the programming sense) that are changed from their undisturbed state, including those added and removed, quest progression, etc. 2. Every object in the game world writes itself and its current state to an object graph that is saved and restored upon loading a save game. Thanks bathrooms
